On Friday, 14 January 2011, the Graduate School of Government and European Studies held its formal graduation ceremony for master's (109) and doctoral (4) graduates who successfully completed their studies during the 2010 calendar year. The dean invited a ceremonial speaker who has for many years, first in academia, more recently in civil-social circles both in Slovenia and the European Union, endeavoured to contribute to the common mental breakthrough and hunted for new ways, new strategies that would give us all a new developmental impetus and drive us to create a better, fairer future. Prof. Žiga Turk, PhD, professor at the University of Ljubljana, former minister of development and general secretary of the Reflection Group on the Future of the European Union, gave an encouraging and inspiring speech.
